Road tax prices?
« on: 12 May 2015, 22:16:33 »

Hey folk.
Have been looking at 2.2 Omegas post 2000 ones...
What do you guys who own these pay on road fund licence?
The one I did a search on shows that it's a  231 g/km so according to the charts it's £490 per annum? Is this right? Just one band above that..?
Shocking if it's true.

Full fat tax is only 2006+ registered vehicles... :y pretty much every Omega is now £300, though late 2003 2.2 manuals might be a touch cheaper... :-\

Thats better news than near on 500 a year..
The dvla search site has altered, it used to say how much it was per annum on their list. Still a fair chunk but never mind.
Thanks for the info.  8)

Pre March 2001 it does not matter.

You can have a 6.0 v8 or 3.0 V6. Same tax.

Post March 2001 they are tad more, but not a lot.

I pay mine on Direct Debit. Think it's £24 odd a month

About time the road tax was put on petrol. That way the polluter pays. I've a 3.2 V6 but only do about 3k a year if that. I pay a lot of road tax per mile.

Thanks for all the info people.. I am happy to pay the sub 300 mark for rfl. I'll start searching for a later model but reluctant to get rid of mine,. It may only be a wee engine but I don't munch miles up the motorway nowaday,  when I do, it "makes progress" well enough.
