Dodgy or not?
« on: 16 May 2015, 20:54:48 »

Driving along today and a car parked on the roadside suddenly pulled out no indication soi couldn't avoid hitting it
Exchanged name address phone numbers but on asking his insurance details he couldn't remember who he was with
Fair enough
I'm no expert but it looks like my car need a bumper, bonnet and possibly a wing

Get a phone call of the guy 1/2 hour later asking if we could settle without going through insurance and he would pay for my car to be fixed
1/2 passes again and I get a text saying he would pay for my repairs AND give me a grand as well
Hahaha
What do you reckon?

I reckon he is a dodgy bastid but,  if he gives you the price of a bumper and a grand by ten o'clock tomorrow morning, I would overlook his dodgyness. ;D

Just tell your insurance what happened if you want to keep it legal. Any other course of action could go against you.

Yes you should do the right and proper thing here and report him to the authorities.  :y

You won't get jack for the damage to your car though.....  ::)

But you'll have done the right thing!  ;)
