Scanner - Sheet Fed
« on: 06 July 2008, 22:31:27 »

Need help.

I have loads of paper work and phots that I need to scan.

Rather than change page after page, does any one know of a sheet feed scanner for less than £100

I can then just put a pile of documents in that are the same size and leave it to do the work.

TIA.  :y

I think the £100 bit might be a tad optimistic.

I think you'll be lucky - unless you find one on ebay s/h.

Mate of mine is just buying a 50-sheet scanner, will have a word if you want.  As its a works one (and he works in an Office Suppliers) it probably won't be cheap...or it was very cheap as a demo one!

I really need it to adjust down and able to accept photos.

I have checked my old companies web site, and I remember also that we never had a feed scanner for less than £150, even ex-demo. :'(

I would try the classified adverts Skruntie and second hand office equipment dealers, and of course if you want to take the risk, e-bay! :D ;)

Free next day delivery, and all they advertise is what they have as current stock.

Seems rather expensive for what it is!!

I've just bought HP Photosmart all-in-one fax, scanner, copier and photo quality printer that prints straight off the mamory cads and works wirelessly for £139 inc VAT

Would have thought something like that would have been a better option?

Is is a sheet feed scanner.

I have about 3000 phots to scan, plus a 4 foot tall pile of paper work to archive and destroy.  In all fairness I cant see the Cannon lasting the year out as it will be scanning a wad of files on a daily basis.

Also it will scan A3, PDF and will scan both sides of the document at the same time.  Wont be buying it for 3 or 4 months though, so will continue to look.
