First 'Pissy' pic!
« on: 22 May 2015, 09:45:33 »

Ok, so you've all been waiting, desperate to see a pic of my old girl. Well, some of you have been waiting desperately. Well, ok, not 'desperately', waiting with a modicum of interest. Well, ok, I think Webby asked to see a pic. Once.

Anyway, here she is. Not immaculate, plenty of scrapes and bumps (none of which you can see in the pic, hehe)

This is my first bit of proper cosmetic tweaking to her, everything else has been mechanical and repairing broken bits... Hope we approve, never seen anyone do it before.

(and worry not, a perfectly good grille was not butchered; this was a spare grille with a missing griffin, and the chrome's not great close up  :))

Anyone? Spot the difference. It's subtle. (the fact that is hasn't been spotted right away at least proves is not a 'garish' mod.

(Oh, and I have got a spare Irmscher grille, but I'm  in two minds about fitting it, as most Omegas seem to have acquired the Elite grille over the years, not sure if I prefer 'standard')

... which, curiously, is nothing to do with her being called 'Pissy' - that's a just one of life's happy coincidences  :)

Yes, true. Work in progress  :y. One has a broken clip, too. I have a spare set which I'll be stripping, buffing, installing alloy adjusters, new bulbs including nightbreakers (or similar) then swapping them over one evening.

Fair point, I have debated it, but I think it's all the other bits that need adding, too, the levelling sensors, and so on, all of which are another thing to potentially break, plus the cost of the bulbs. Of course any Xenon setup would also require lenses scrubbing, and alloy adjusters fitting too.

I had to get rid of my previous Omega, the 'Turbo Weasel' pretty quick, (due to the owner of the driveway wanting his driveway back) otherwise bits like the HIDs would have come off that car. Sadly I now find myself hunting for silly little bits of trim etc which could have come off that easily, and effectively for 'free', but that's another story  :).
