Granted, I haven't done the Omega yet, but I will!
I just thought some people maybe interested in this....
Smiley car is happy.

With the bonnet open.

Engine shot, this is proof (In my mind) that cone filters suffer from heat soak, on the RHS is the exhaust manifold and the filter is to the right of that connected to the pipe that goes across the front of the engine.


The car is a Mk1 MX5, BTW.

Ideal, are these pics taken with an iphone 5 and the thermal camera by any chance?

Not quite, Android phone, Seek Thermal camera. It came to me on a long term loan - Meaning I'm not sure they'll ask for it back. I occasionally get stuff to test and play with, I've got an 18v Impact Wrench I'm testing too at the moment.
