Why not remove the bottom half of the airbox and fix the cold air intake to the K&N  ;)

yeah was thinking along those lines - what i really want is to re-route the cold air feed to a lower forward facing position to get a bit of 'Ram' effect.

not alot of room behind headlight though :-?

Sound awesome but will kill the airflow sensor and make the engine run bad done it to my mv6 and the veccy and both ran worse! best thing to do is fit a panel filter same noise bit quiter mind but with a proven 4bhp increase instead of a proven 10bhp decrease  and a £250 bill for a new air sensor read on vvoc.com for more info!

nice to see a fellow herefordian on the site though ive got a silver MV6 S reg

May be so, but don't take the feed from the bottom of the engine bay, I've kill two Vauxhall engines because the air intake is via this route, do as the Germans do, take it from in of the Rad

sounds great (intake roar beats exhaust noise anyday!!) wasn't sure about airflow sensor as filter is in roughly the same place so shouldn't effect pulse waves?? (black art :-[)

was going to buy a panel filter years ago but never bothered and as had 57i sat in garage thought i'd have a go :P

better get researching :D

Are you on the OOF map?

nah i dont know how to get this map working!! i live in burghill m8y!

im only going on what the vectra is like but it did kill my maf on my SRi Veccy but i see what you mean about the migs as it is very different to the vectras as the 57i bolts straight onto the maf but doesnt on the mig

my mv6 has all the roar its quite funny as the saxo racers cant believe how a grandads car sounds better than theres and has no big bore!
