No dash lights
« on: 03 June 2015, 22:24:37 »

2002 2.6 CD

Rear of centre console hadn't been sitting properly for a while so undid the two bolts realigned then screwed bolts back in – all good so far

Drove it last night turned on lights "pop" from light switch slight burning smell and no dash lights. Checked fuse and swapped over with other fuses and the fuse is okay. Auto gearbox selector light works until I put lights on (full or side same thing happens) then goes out everything else works as far as I can make out including both fog and driving lamps.

Undid rear console tonight and found that one of the wires to the heated rear seats had its insulation stripped by the bolt, reinsulated wire and rear heater switches and cigarette lighter work okay.

I assume I have FUBARed the light switch but is there anything else that I should check first

Thanks

Dave
