My MP actually replied to me and thanked me for my constructive e-mail... and replied that MP`S on average have around 0.9% pay increase per year!!! in line with other public sector workers....but the main reason i wrote to him was VED and why should the govt seek to hurt us even more in the current climate and that the impending rise of the ved on cars registered after 2001 and the probable inclusion of vehicles built before that he sadi now is not the best time for the chancellor to review it but it would probably be reviewed before the next budget in other words if we do backtrack now then we wont have a get out of jail free card to use later when we really need it(i.e. 10p tax)....I also asked why do you need £24,000 to furnish your 2nd house...why indeed have a 2nd house??? surely you use public transport as you want us to do??? And what happens to that house and furnishings when you lose your seat or retire or resign? do you keep em? do you refurbish your main home with them? or do you offer them to charities that help the poor in this country?? cause i have yet to see wide screen lcd tv`s and new washing machines and furniture being sold on in the likes of oxfam or the british heart foundation.....Guess what....NO REPLY TO THOSE QUESTIONS......i will vote at the next election but it will be to someone like the monster raving loonys a party that i can relate with.....
