I am fed up of people asking about the MV6 install so hopefully people will find this.

Need to pass the word around and unrecommend him

A sorry tale in all respects.

All I can add is, if you do not intend to DIY .. research, research, research .. it took me 3 months to decide on the people who did mine, and included talking to past customers - that is easily the best way.

One company were ruled out immediately because they would NOT allow me to talk to past customers.

Cheers martin just booked 3 cars in too be LPG fitted.. ;D

Very well written piece you've done there and incredibly fair considering the issues you've had with said installer....did you contact trading standards by any chance,if not id serious think about reporting him as not everyone is going too see your write up.

Mind you the nearly two grand price might put a few off. :o

Well I am mainly annoyed - and to be honest I had little experience before I started, the thinhs which annoyed me.

1) Saying you have to pay if you come back
2) Not taking down the install
3) The rudeness
4) Blaming the car for the DIS oack frying.

te be honest I should have taken it to another local person I didn't know about for an inspection, but it did get written off the following December.

That is a real shame Martin - I could not believe sone of the things!

Only have one little question:

Quote
The only place for large ECU on the V6 is in the scuttle area so keep the drains clear. The best gas pipe run is following the petrol hoses. The ECU is best mounted under the air box or under the front wing behind the wheel arch cover.

Should one of these be the vapouriser? If so which one?

Or is there 2 ECU's?

But he clearly states that he offers a years parts and labour warranty....so how on earth he can try and charge is beyond me.

I wonder if theres anyway of getting your article on google....say someone googles LPG and up pops your piece....no idea if possible but word would spread quicker. :-/
