Hello I need the vaccum hose that connects the intake manyfold to the break pump!
Where can i get it ?

Not sure if this changes between LHD and RHD.

I thought the hose was on a roll ie separate from the fittings, I the know the various versions of the non-return valve are.

Assuming this is the 'main vac hose' as it tends to be called (and no doubt Vx will have a convoluted name for it too, 'vacuum deliverance system adjoining piece' or something  )

Looking at one I'd think that you could simply warm and spin the pipe/tube to allow for LHD or RHD application?

Its preformed, so would need shaping. No idea if this could be done DIY

Not sure which side the brake servo is on LHD (assuming Portugal is LHD  )

Its on the opposite to us and hence very different.

If you went to Vx/Opel for one you would be given the fittings, a one way valve and some flexi vac pipe.

That's standard practice for engine swaps and repairs where the stock pipe is badly routed and wears through. Audi A4s for example. You could buy nylon pipe, but forming it into anything other than very gentle curves is difficult. Hose doesn't have that problem.

And just looked at a pic of the LHD engine bay and see exactly what Mr DTM means, of course it's not simply a case of a 'mirror image' engine bay - the vac pipe still has to go into the NS of the plenum, but with the servo also on the NS of the car, the pipe is a totally different shape.

Maybe someone could send an old/worn pipe to the OP, so he can spend as many evenings as required taking it apart and getting a new hose fitted, then simply swapping it over in a matter of minutes?

Are there no scrap yards in Portugal? Is it more of a 'British thing'?

I want to replace it by a new "one" (if possible) and in Portugal there are no omegas in scrap yard... we are not fond of opel...
Any way, I'm trying to replace it by a diy assembled by myself. Perhaps I can get the various parts on ebay, such as vacuum hose and connectors. I will need some help because I don't know what parts I will be needing.

If you find somewhere that does hydraulic repairs -like hoses and rams, they will have sort of hose you need. If you live in the country then an agricultural mechanic should be able to help you.
