I heard, from a man that works at the beeb, that Chris Evens will only be doing one show of TG,  :-\ :-\

he signed a 3 year deal so I think it may be more than one show!!!............. :y

Never liked him as a radio presenter and never liked him as a TV presenter either,so I'll be giving new series a miss.

I don't particularly like Evans but, let's face it, it was getting really stale and I read mostly criticisms on here. It's gotta be worth a look.

Have to agree with you there.Top Gear as it was had imho just about run its course, and needed to change to survive really. But shall still give it a miss as I can't abide Chris Evans as a presenter of anything, having said that they could've done even worse and gone for Ant and Dec instead!!!!Now that would've been truly horrible.

I'm hoping for a new format.  I don't think the same show with new presenters, whoever they are, would work.

Should be interesting, he has a personal passion for cars. Only have to look at his personal collection to know that, huge collection.

Better that, than someone to 'front' it who has no interest in cars, but looks good on TV.

Not sure if the passion for cars/bikes will translate into a good show, or how will get on with other(s)? Be fair to give him a shot.

Although it could be he is only presenting the up coming special and nothing else, this is just to hype it up!

I don't think he has a passion for cars, music or anything else. His only passion is his enormous ego. Hes a famous DJ who doesn't love music, it just gives him a vehicle to talk non stop and make lots of money.
He has bought lot of very expensive cars, paid millions for some of them ,but I don't believe he is passionate about the cars. He just loves the ego trip that comes from owning things that most other people would love to own, but could never afford.
He is a vacuous, soulless, irritating knob, who will hopefully die on his arse when he takes over the job.

Apart from that, he is a lovely chap. :y ;D
Don,t beat about the bush migv6 , just say what you really think of him. ;D ;D
