I'm relatively new here, but I've noticed over the last couple of weeks different users have different usernames. By the looks of it, this is an 'in house joke', but from an outsiders point of view, it makes it difficult to tell who is who. The biggest clues being the avatar and my memory, the latter has known to have many intermittent faults.

I don't wish to stop the fun, but if there could be a subheading or a signature update to refresh the minds of us who can't.............. what's that word?......... Ah yes, remember.

There are actually only eight members that post regularly. They just change their aliases in order to bulk up numbers. Think of it as a small circus. The elephant tamer is also the trapeze artist and also takes money on the gate.

I joined in 2006, I've had the same username and almost same avatar for whole of the time. I also don't get why people change their names.

OK, let me start by complaining about the rules! A 250 post limit to sell stuff is just not cricket, yadda, yadda, yadda.... I thought you enthusiasts would want first refusal, it's not that I'm too tight to pay for eBay/Autotrader at all. Then I can move on to 'I'm not part of the inner circle and feel left out'. 

I'm sure there are plenty more reasons people throw the toys out.

I think you will find there are two on here that are quadrophenic. They make up the eight members, mentioned in an earlier post, that talk to themselves and occasionally each other. We are not certain who they are, but there are rumours that one lives in the Sauf, at or near a secure facility in Crowthorne and the other in the Midlands, but that is still pure speculation.

When all four personalities are having a bitter online argument on OOF it is always entertaining and then one normally throws their toys out the pram and leaves, but he soon misses the other 3/4 of the brain and rejoins, so we then have another newbie. Unless they become a newbie from all 'innocently' and 'accidentally' offending an over sensitive, thin skinned admin, but you will know when you've 'accidentally' done that from the disappearing post count. It happens all the time, there are three unnamed infamous ones at the moment on a post cull.

It might all seem odd at first but if you persevere like all soap operas you will learn who is who and it all starts to make sense, apparently! In the words of that famous US comedy: "Confused? You won't be, after this week's episode of...Soap OOF."

I can admit to having 2, TheBoy and testuser, but that's because its quite handy to have an account with normal user rights for testing!

As for one of them lives darf sarf, there are at least 5 of us in close proximity (south of the watford gap) so which one he means i am not sure
