It's going to be an interesting week
« on: 05 July 2015, 19:35:19 »

Looks like the Greeks have voted 'No'..and Mr Osbourne has outlined how he is going to hammer just about everyone in Wednesday's budget. Council tenants who earn over £30000 will pay more rent, benefits cap of £23000, cut in tax credits...even the BBC is getting a bill for 65 million.

The cries of anguish will be loud and long.

Oh..and Unite are giving their backing to that scruffy old man (his name escapes me) for Labour leader. Camoron will be dancing for joy.

And rightly so!  Why should somebody be permitted reduced cost housing when they can clearly afford to purchase their own home or privately rent?

Pay the council the going rate for the property in question????? Shocking!  >:(

It will make these sponging bastards move out and leave affordable housing to those who really do need it.

I agree, to a point. But £30K? A couple earning £15K each? Hardly sponging bastards.
