Engine Management Light ON

And Misfire being Detected

Keep getting 0135 & 0130 codes

02 Sensor Heater Circuit Open & 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction both on (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

I had her on the ramp today in work, tried changing B1S1 with B2S1 (then erased codes) still brought up 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction B1S1 & 02 sensor heater circuit open B1S1

Then tried swapping plugs from B1S1 to B1S2 (erased the codes) brought up 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction B1S2 & 02 sensor heater circuit open B1S2

Trying to eliminate as much as possible.

Traced as much wiring loom back as I possibly could get at NO signs of any defects, I am also getting a flashing EML light sometimes when runing stationier and I can hear that it's missing and runing rich.

Also brought up

-Random Multiple misfire detected

-Cylinder 1,3,5 also misfire detected.

Could this be a possible faulty coil pack (but would this cause 02 sensor heater circuit to spring up)

So....I changed these sensors around & still read B1S1 (surely if it was a sensor it would have been picked up on B2S1 wiring??  Then switched wiring loom from B1S1 with B1S2 and then brought up B1S2 so it's not a wiring problem then? I'm I right here??

I don't know much about exactly how these sensors work unfortunately

I then continued to a live data diagnostic run through

02 sensor B1S1 "Rich" with a average value of around 670-703 Vm
And
02 sensor B2S1 "lean" with a average value of around 38 (until you can here the fuel trim starting to kick in would then rough idle for about 1min & give same value as above (670-703) whilst EML flashes then continues to stay on permanent.  Surely this isn't right at all?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If I read that right, the faults moved when you moved the plugs? If so, wiring fault ;)

Yeah but this was when I swapped the plug around, that bank 1 sensor 2 plug was plugged into (bank 1 sensor 1) slot ?? And when I swapped them back around to normal it brought up (bank 1 sensor 1) ? That's what I'm confused on how it's continuing to bring up any sensor that's plugged into bank 1 sensor slot ? Surely it wouldn't be a wiring fault then huh?  :-\ because when I swapped the plugs over it brought the same code up on a different wiring harness. Well this is my thought on it but any advice is more than welcome.

At the minute I'm starting to think is it faulty coil pack causing this light?

Very confused & annoyed can't get to the bottom of this lol

You need to cure the misfire first... If it's chucking gallons of fuel in it will do no good :y

In my short lived experience of playing with 2.6 and 3.2, assuming the plug wells and plugs are ok, I'd always start the coils packs for misfires now, but Ive normally got other Migs that I can borrow or test them with.

That's what I'm thinking well least if the misfire is sorted will be one less thing to diagnose

I am waiting on it being delivered once I have it in & codes reset I will report back , hopefully tomorrow all being well.

Been busy with work lately but finally got the coil pack I ordered replaced Though never made a difference 😩 back to square one again

Maybe could be ignition timing a few people are saying but I'm not sure that would be it?

Sorry, I'm not clear whether you have changed plugs on O2 sensors or spark plugs.
I have run a 2003 ex police for 10 years now, without the help of a diagnostic meter, and have found the way to cure misfires is to change the spark plugs for new and see what turns up, usually oil or water in plug wells. Have you changed the spark plugs?

What condition is your windscreen scuttle in ?

I had a similar problem a couple of months age with my 3.2
Bering in mind you may have 2 little faults, mine turned out the coil pack loom plug at the back of the plenum was getting wet from the knackered scuttle cover and throwing up all sorts of misfire codes   :)

I swapped the 02 sensors plugs around (bank 1 sensor 1 with bank 1 sensor 2) just to see if it was bringing the same fault code up on a different loom as it did, I Changed plugs with Bosch ones about 3-4weeks ago too,

Just as you mention that there is a crack at the bottom P/S of my windscreen (at the very bottom nearest the scuttle panel)  ???

Maybe this is what my problem could be then?

I  will check that loom & see what I can see around the loom

When you changed the spark plugs was there any water or oil in any of the plug holes? Did all the plugs you removed look the same?

1,3 and 5 was clean 2,4 and 6 had some signs of rusty surface but was still dry if that makes sense

Thanks. So fault is not the plugs, and not oil or water in the plug holes. It could be the coil sticks. Are they genuine Bosch (they will have writing on them) or aftermarket (unlabelled). Have you had the car a long time and suddenly suffered a new fault, or is the car new to you and arrived faulty?

I bought the car 4 months ago & had this slight misfire since then the eml was pulled out & I put it back it & have been trying to fix it since then, yes still genuine Bosch coil packs in it at the minute I've tried aftermarket ones but still seems the same
