Modded Corsa
« on: 21 July 2015, 20:41:30 »

Got passed by one of these[a 59 plate]on my way home tonight. It was lowered of course and had the biggest wheels I remember seeing on a Corsa, but what really caught my attention was the rear wheels. The last time I saw rear wheels so splayed out it was on a Triumph 2.5 I had which needed a serious rear suspension repair.I don't know whether the Corsa owner had splayed them so much so the tops of the wheels/tyres would fit inside the arches or what, but it must play havoc with tyre life :o

Massive Camber, Stetched Tyres and all that shite is known as 'stancing'.

"Well wikid bruv, i got me ride stanced, innit!"

Fortunately, like every other fad, it will go away!

That a real challenge to do on a Corsa with its beam rear axle!  ;D :D :y

Simples, washers behind the rear bearings. It gives a massively bad ride but I guess they think it looks good, I like the low dishes wheels look but not the broken stance.

Couldn't make out the style of wheel on the one I saw,or really on the pictured one either. But yes that's certainly the look as far as the splaying of the rear wheels goes.Surely must put extra stress on bearings and such no?
