V6/2.2 dti clutch height
« on: 22 July 2015, 08:54:27 »

Hi all

Could find any info on this anywhere on the net. I am using an R28 gearbox in a rwd engine swap conversion using a corsa vxr engine. I had a clutch drive plate made but need to get the slave cylinder in the correct position. I need to know the clutch cover fingers height/distance from the block face where the gearbox bolts up to?? It could probably be from any engine using the concentric slave cylinder as they all the same I think.

Appreciate any help.  :y

There's a spacer available for use with solid flywheel conversions on the V6/C20LET... Courtnaysport might be worth a shout (as you're over that way)...

The slave is in a predetermined position relative to the shaft splines by virtue of its being bolted to the gearbox casing :y

Yup that spacer is too big retro power make it I think. The corsa clutch is almost in the correct position but not quite. So I need to make my own spacer so I need that measurement.

Actually they were trying to sell me something that if they had read the thread they would know I didnt want but apologies if any offense caused.

Do you think I might get some answers on somewhere like migweb? I thought this forum would be ideal. I actually used to have a carlton gsi and an omega a while back.

Advice & help on this forum is very good & members go out of their way to help out.

After your rather abrupt reply to someone who was trying to help  . . .  if it were me , I certainly would not forward you the info & details you need  >:( >:( >:(
