When i bought my Omega a few years back, the reverse lights didīnt always come on when they were supposed to, here`s how i solved it.During the summer, the lights came on with a small delay, maybe a second,in the winter however it took a while longer.Did the usual ofcourse, checked the fuse and replaced the switch. All the same.So i grinded my headgears a bit and figured out what was the problem. It was the aluminum washer between the gearbox and the switch,it was too thin for some reason.Switch just sat too deep in the gearbox. I replaced the washer with a 0,5mm thicker copper washer and all was ok.Hope it was helpful.  :)

Useful advice for sure but the reverse lights aren't a legal requirement... :y

I'm sure they're not tested ..... no mention in the MOT test manual
