Anyway.... I have had a Toshiba Satellite P750 for a few years now.. It came with windows 7 when new so its got to be a few years. It's my 2nd Toshiba in 7 years give or take.

Some of the main features...

15.4in, 1366 x 768, 8GB DDR3 RAM, Blu-ray drive, 640gb HDD, Quad-core Core i7-2630QM, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0, Nvidia GeForce graphics, Harman/Kardon speakers,

Granted it was in the £900 region i remember that much! But saying that it still works so its been a sound investment. Running Win10 fine also.

Basically what i'm saying is i'd recommend Toshiba

I'll second the Toshiba 
I've been using a big 17" screen Satellite for 8 years now.
Its been dropped off the roof of my car and generally smacked around since new.
Other then a blue screen problem which was sorted by a good clean and a couple of RAM boards and a replacement battery, its been fickin fantastic

My last Tosh failed to survive the fall from a sunroof to the ground....

...but not much would except the hardened laptops from the likes of Panasonic.
