Any Firefox users? Upgrade now!!!!

This one looks particularly nasty and it's already in use by hackers:

Wouldn't touch Firefox with a barge poll.

Thanks for the heads up, but I don't use it that often (only for checking websites) and I have it set so it always auto-updates to the latest version before opening.

finally had enough of ff and dumped it for chrome the other day.  i was pissed off with new bugs appearing and the stupid way to customise ff.  chrome so far seems much better, easier to mod and i have got it pretty well working the way i had set up ff in under an hour (much quicker than it took to mod ff). ncie and easy transfer too, picked up all the bookmarks and history.  ff is sadly history, it was good for a while..

Pluses for Chrome is its quick rendering and it is the market leader, which is why I use it for development, but it has many major bugs and crash problems. When you restore after a crash, https windows are very helpfully postage stamp sized, unless last tab, where there is a fundamental refresh order issue, only way to fix this is to close the tab and start again! >:( >:( >:( >:( Google admit they have an issue with this and currently have no fixes or workarounds!

Software reliability is getting worse, with the US leading the way! I understand, from my economic interests why and it is all down to public company priorities, which does not make pretty reading for future US economic success. ???

IMO it is in the balance on whether the internet ISIS of Russia and China plus organised crime is going to win and make the Internet unusable. Global instability in Eastern Europe, ISIS in the Middle East and China's Asian ambitions are reflected in the current cyber warfare. It is escalating rapidly and I'm sure Guffer as someone on the IT security frontline will have a much more insightful view than me on this? :o :o :o :o

Google Chrome is the least secure, generally, of the 3 big Windows browsers.

If you MUST use it, I'd recommend only using it when necessary, and definitely, always, without exception, only using on an account with limited rights (ie, not as an Administrator)...  ...although the latter goes for all programs, obviously.

Yup, Chrome is worse than swiss cheese and it eats resources more than any browser I have ever known.  Which poses a problem when your client insists on using the google platform for work.  >:(

Edge in my opinion is just a lite version of IE.  It's not as memory hungry, and it runs smooth - It's just rubbish though.

I still use FF and until something comes out which is BETTER, I wont change.

Chrome is a security hazard.

Edge has a single issue with OOF, and that is you cannot use the buttons above the text window when typing a post. For this reason, Edge is unsuitable for use with OOF.

This has been raised with the SMF developers, but given the arrogance of their Project Manager, I doubt it'll get fixed in a hurry.

As always, unless you have a specific need not to, on any Windows PC I would recommend Internet Explorer, but be strict on which 3rd party plugins you enable.

FF is still trying to get its security in order, and Chrome shouldn't be used in anything but the most extreme circumstance.
