What are you lot doing????? Pressed start, run, cmd, ping, just got a black page with some writing on it. Anyway, no point in telling me again i'm happy just surfing about so no need to join in just wondered what on earth you are all up to? :D

after youve typed start, run, cmd you get that black box with some writing as you say. The last character will be a > then a flashing line.
Type in:-
ping www.omegaowners.com
then press enter.
It should say something like this

Pinging www.omegaowners.com [217.155.56.220] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 217.155.56.220: bytes=32 time=42ms TTL=55
Reply from 217.155.56.220: bytes=32 time=43ms TTL=55
Reply from 217.155.56.220: bytes=32 time=45ms TTL=55
Reply from 217.155.56.220: bytes=32 time=97ms TTL=55

Ping statistics for 217.155.56.220:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 42ms, Maximum = 97ms, Average = 56ms

Jaime wants to know if the long number after reply from is 217.155.56.220 like the one above.

It's called a ping test, basically your computer is asking the OOF computer if its there. The reply from bit shows you it is and tells you how long it took to reply back.

Got an error saying this:
Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution.

The fix is in a KB article here:

Omegaowners.com is still selling watches though.
