hi i have been suffering with an annoying vibration that comes in over 60 - 65 mph it is very bad at times but not thru the steering more whole car so far ive had all wheels balanced  tried different wheels replaced idle arm steering trackrods rear wishbonebushes fronts are already poly for a couple of years full alignment after but only marginally better. wheel bearings have been checked too. can anyone shed any light on this as im beginingto loose faith in car. thanks eric

Guessing it's a manwell, you've probably knackerd the dmf flywheel., or propshaft joint is knackerd.

Could be a damaged/warped rear brake disk. If yours has vented rears, check that the vent between the inboard and outboard halves of the disk are ok, and not rusted away.

hi no its auto gearbox and rear discs were changed about a year ago but will check i didntlook as no judder on braking. would rear engine/gearbox mount cause a vibration and i tried rocking prop but didnt feel any undue slap  or play would it be better off car to test. thanks

What kind of tyres do you have ? Make ? Model ? Manufacturing year ?

Because, I do have this exactly same problem also and I think, that it's got something to do with the tyres. Cheap tyres can be badly made, so they are never in good balance, even thou, the balancing weights onthe rims are correct. My tyres are some cheap Westlake's and I'm never ever gonna buy cheap tyres again. The sides of the tyres are bumpy and I believe, that the supporting steel/nylon radial is not propely set up. I too have this unpleasant vibration in 110-120 km/h (~65-75 mph) and after that, it goes away slightly.

The tyres where all fitted same time accelera brand standard size for car but the set I tried were irmscher18 with pilots and was same outcome.wish it hadnt been.

I had an annoying vibration (on the front) of my last Omega that used to occur at 80mph+. I had the wheels rebalanced and later fiitted new tyres without any noticeable improvement.

The vibration went away when I fitted a set of genuine brake discs. The ones that had caused the vibration were pattern parts. The problem didn't manifest itself immediately but came on gradually over 1000's of miles - presumably a result of uneven wear and corrosion
