Poor crop of tomatoes this year so chucked them all in the bin  :(
They were grown outside and the cold nights ruined them . Won't
bother anymore when you can buy a pack for
99p  ::)

I know how you feel. I have just the opposite trouble- too hot. Our July was the hottest since records began in 1942.

Planted mine May21st. Big fruit tomatoes that grow up canes. Everyone seems to have had the same trouble. I have three normal size fruits developing  from eight plants watered daily :o

Doing well here. No difference between the greenhouse grown and the spare plants growing outdoors. :)

One pack of seeds resulted in 80 plants.

Ripening at a rate we can eat them so far but preparing for the onslaught to come. :D

I've had a decent crop of runner beans but they don't seem as tasty as usual, a little watery....  :-\  Any ideas?  :)

Most supermarkets toms taste of precisely nothing. The big 'salad tomatoes' being the worst. :-\

I got three plants off a fella who has an allotment at the back. I potted them, left them outside and ignored them. Got a load of lovely, tasty cherry toms.  ;D

We used to get a regular supply of surples tomatoes, home grown by our elderly neighbour, so full of flavour, far more than in any supermarket tomato........ :y :y

Sadly he passed away last year, and his wife is unable to keep up with everything they did............ :( :(
