Afraid that seems to be the way with Essex Police. I had an (ex)employee steal over £5k in cash, tools and fuel. They collected CCTV footage of him filling other vehicles and paying with my fuel cards (as well as Tracker evidence that my van was not at the filling station). He coughed and a CRO was suggested. He failed to honour it but they dropped the prosecution anyway >:( >:(

I'm currently starting civil proceedings against him and his mother (she accepted responsibility for his actions and debt!) and considering the same against Essex Police.

It's a shame because some forces are fantastic but that has left a very sour taste in my mouth ::)

Dunno why The Fail hid the identity of the Range Rover's driver and passenger and it's licence plate.  :-\

After all they did nothing wrong.....  ::)

Is the CPS regional like the police or more national.  If the latter i cannot fathom the difference in applicqtion of circumstances to different incidents.  Is it that the police are not investigating properly and thus the CPS have no choice?

My case didn't even get presented to CPS. Senior officers deemed it not in the interest. The cynic in me wonders if there was any truth to the posturing of said scrote who claimed to have "Very Senior Connections in Essex Police" :-X ::)
