Having been on a busy shift for 10 hours with nothing so much as a brew when I first started my shift I happened upon a vehicle that triggered my cameras having no insurance. I followed it along the motorway to the services where it turned off and stopped on the car park. After dealing with the motorist I had to have a pit stop myself, and waiting for the duty garage (usually 30 mins) I thought I'll just nip to the loo & then grab a butty.

Came out the butty shop and was greeted by the most obnoxious twerp I've ever met  who did nothing but slag me off for daring to buy some food & a drink whilst on duty!!!  I tried to explain (nicely) that I was STILL working hence the duty turning up (right on queue) to pick up the seized car, but oh no he was having none of it!!! 

Anyway, after he'd said his piece, I passed the keys to duty got back in my car & started it up. As I did my ANPR camera let out a little excited cry  & guess who's car it was ??

That must have been a very satisfying moment - what is wrong with eating and drinking while working anyway!?

You would like it in Spain. The Guardia Civil stop for elevensies( coffee, fresh squeezed orange and tostados) like everyone else. You can tell they are still on duty as they miss nothing inside or out. I quite like it though. Who in their right mind would think it was normal to spend 8 hours solid cruising?
