Didn't attract much pussy though. :(

 ;D

They were clearly uneducated with respect to the potential of that Hydragas-suspended bouncy back seat. :D

Then again, the leaf springs in the back of my Morris Ital were not exactly suffering significant duress either.  ::)

My Dad had a Maxi for years, brilliant motor, good ride, space and versatile too, also ultra reliable. So, i bought one. What a dog, while dads gear change was fine mine was absolute sh*t. Changing down from 3rd to 2nd was almost impossible. Traded it in after three months for a Mk 2 2.8 Grannie. Dealer told me that after he sold it rear suspension collapsed (hydrogas), cost him a fortune.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I owned a Princess 1700 and thought it a good car. Extremely roomy just like the 1800 landcrab before it. :y

Didn't attract much pussy though. :(

Only had Fords, a Volvo and a Vauxhall. My dad had two Austin Maxis and that cured any thoughts for anything made by BL. :y :y :y
