Skoda Yeti
« on: 16 September 2015, 10:36:29 »

Had a day out to the Boat Show at Southampton yesterday.  :y

Anyway the fella that drove who is my mates mate, turned up in a Skoda Yeti....  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\  thought I!  ::)

Well I have to say I was very impressed.  :y  His was the 2.0 Dti 4x4 and it has been chipped to 170bhp, so it was very quick off the mark.  It was roomy, comfortable in the back and had plenty of gadgets.  :y  While not a direct Omega replacement, it seemed like a very capable all rounder and once you get used to the slightly odd looks it's one I'd consider in the future.  :y :y :y

So back to the boats, can anyone lend me £400,000 odd for a 70ft ocean going yacht?  8)

As I was reading this post, I turned and looked out of the window, where the lady in the next caravan has her Yeti parked. And, I have to agree with you Steve. After passing over the initial exterior look, its a nice care inside, and does ping along :y

Nah.....not a proper Skoda.

A genuine Skoda has it's engine in the arse end and is built by Czechoslovakian communists. :)

It was a contender before I bought my Superb, but in the end I don't really need 2 4x4's.

Must comment on Skoda aftercare too!

F-I-L's 2010 plate Octavia brokedown in Germany a couple of months ago with gearbox problems. To cut a long story short it ended up being transported back to Blighty and to the Skoda garage. It was obviously out of warranty but the kind people there replaced the what ever it was that was wrong with it (I've not found out exactly what it was but the part was £1200)  FREE OF CHARGE & he only had to pay a couple of hours labour????

Cheeky beggar. ;D ;D I will have you know they were hand built in the former 50 year old Land Rover factory at Jaen. Leather seats, 4 electric windows, air con, wood effect trim, six gears (more if you count all the permuations of drive) 40mpg., cup holders, map lights, 240 volt invertor. The list is about exhausted :(

Shouldn't be a problem for Lord Opti as he will call such a trifling amount; 'pocket money'. ::) ::) ::) :o :o :o
