MaxTrac Shocks - A Review
« on: 19 September 2015, 20:09:34 »

I did want Meyle shocks, but AGP said they would be at least 3 to 4 weeks. I was recommended MaxTrac, they are made to OEM spec and came in at under £50 the pair with an OOF discount.

A few pictures, note the fitting kit is almost identical to GM.

Front row is MaxTrac kit, back row is 1 month old GM fitting kit.

They replaced knackered GM's so its lot stiffer than before, so I guess time will tell if they hold up.  :)

I've still not solved all the rear suspension noise from the 2.2, I think the rear donuts needs to be changed next as over the same roads it's noisier than the 3.2, which also runs standard shocks.

Much better effort than the Bilstein mounts :y

Hopefully the shocks will serve you well...

OK, things may have changed since I last fitted Bilstein shocks to the arse of mine, but I had no issues with the mounting kit as far as I can recall. But that was probably 5 or more years ago...  ...and still going strong :y
