Been looking for a waterproof car cover as i dont have a garage and fed up with all the dust dirt and rain mix  Anyone bought a decent one with the soft anti scratch lining ? Quite a few on the market but want it to last  a few winters at least without it either blowing away or disintegrating

Is that an un-lined cover mate ? Seen some on the bay that are lined for £25 .. could be the  guinea pig an try one out

It has a fleece type lining to it, with 6-8 bungee straps to hold it down..

IIRC it cost around £40...? but that was about 3 years ago...

Make sure the vehicle is completely dry before using the cover though, unless you get a 'breathable' cover, otherwise it just stains/lifts the lacquer....

Aldi and Lidl sometimes get them in. We have one for MrsGKs Golf ragtop, admittedly an indoor one, but I'm sure they do outdoor also.

Although its black and fast it gets bloody dirty very quick standing still  It needs a winter blanket

I think a cover does more harm than good
the wind blows and they flap against the car scratching the paint,they trap moisture, etc.
the only good one ive seen had a alloy canterlever frame inside you lifted off from the back of the car and it folded up,you then drove onto it the front wheels on the frame then pulled it back over the car.as the cover didn't touch the car no damage and a air gap so no trouble with moisture

Several of the ABS lads get covers from a company called Specilised car covers. They are not cheap but are tailered to the car, not a generic size. There are several LC,s that live outside all the time under these. One bloke has had to replace his after 8 years but mainly due to the neighbours cat using one corner as a scratching post, causing it to end up shreaded

No idea the size or quality but it would keep the worst off it when the weather is bad

Just done a quote on that web site for specific car with no add ons and its £289 for the car cover . Like you say not cheap but quality .

Have seen those but cant recall where now , dont seem to be any on the bay 

Have seen a few car canopy frame tent things that look good for about £150 and they can be fixed to the ground securely . To stop the cats clawing at it can put grease or something on the uprights 
Plus it will be at the side of the house , enclosed by fence .
