Job jobbed. Well one side anyway 

Old bush put up a fight, but screw driver in slots and wiggling it started to come out. Trying on various sides got it bit by bit, but then screw driver would have less angle/power as it came further out.

Brainwave.... I got the brake pad spreader and wedged that in. Expanded it out and that pushed the bush out nicely.

Will also add that its resolved the knocking noise at the back now, annoyingly be another week before I can do the other side
