If either grade is OK, then mixing them won't matter. Unless you're trying for 10/70!

Both are suitable for this car and I have 2.5 litres of each so it'll be a 50/50 mix of both.. Not understanding oil spec ect I wasn't sure it was ok to mix two together..

What's the general mechanic's rule? regular oil changes on poorer/ok oil every few thou are better than longer, irregular oil changes with even the finest grade. I'd say fine. But, of course ideally the correct stuff.

Viscosity is not an issue.

Provided both oils are of the same 'genes', Synthetic, Semi-Synthetic, Mineral etc, then you are ok.

To clarify, if both are Synthetic, then go for it.  If one is Synthetic and the other is Mineral, then I'd err on the side of caution.

Oil is dirt cheap..... go and buy some you tight git!  ;D
