Just a general question out of interest[sorry if I'm hijacking thread]but what is it about the 3.2 that makes people seek them out?As I understand it apart from usual V6 maladies they also have the extra of the pre-cat sensors needing moving.Figures I've seen suggest they're not hugely more powerful or greatly faster than the 3.0l and yet apparently are far worse on fuel.So why the 3.2,what's to recommend it?
Personally I think the 3.0's are better engines.

As you say sensors are a faff, normal V6 issues. Is it easier to work on? Not vastly so to the 3.0, guess it looks a bit neater.
Fuel use is seriously shite. Yes it's a 3.2, but compared to the 3.0 it's just 200cc more but the difference in fuel use is far bigger.
I don't think it's any faster either, Tunnie family had 3.0 Estate for years. Is my 3.2 faster? Humm don't think so, about same really. Also the 3.2 delivers a lot of is power low down, one of the car parks i use for work, exits onto a 40mph road. 9/10 I can light up the rears just pulling away, without even trying. Just light throttle use.
Before anyone says tyres, 3.0 would run on budget tyres, never had that issue.
Only thing I like compared to the 3.0 is its DBW, so it has a lighter throttle pedal.
