I think Top Gear needs to be turned round quick. They are really scraping the bottom of the barrel of interesting celebrities to invite, so as a chat show it's pants. The "buy a notoriously unreliable Italian 2nd hand motor and flog it to death" challenges are getting tedious and the rest of the show is just Clarkson venting his spleen and acting like a idiot.

It's a shame because Clarkson's newspaper columns show he's actually quite good at putting across a cynical view of current affairs with a motoring slant, IMHO, but it all seems to go wrong on Top Gear. Maybe because he's always got to be seen to belittle his co-presenters.

It stopped being a worthwhile motoring programme ages ago so it absolutely has to be entertaining to be a success, and it's not currently.

Kevin

You may be right, but I still look forward to watching it, where as in the case of 5th Gear I think I have stayed awake one watching it.

VBH I think is the only reason I change the channel over at times.

Tiff Needel and Jason Plato,, but they only do 1 car clip between them.  Boring.

The one I did stay awake for was Needles driving a Veyron, Think it was the best review I have seen on the show in recent years, and it still wasnt that good.

OK, OK, I'm not in favour of the nanny state, but St. Clarkson's driving habits leave something to be desired.  I don't think he had two hands on the steering wheel at any point during his trip across Japan.  At one point, he was not steering at all.

Playing with facemasks, using a mobile phone and fiddling about with the satnav really aren't things that should be highlighted on a popular motoring show - it's a bit irresponsible.    :(

Cheeky!
We were only lost because the map (which i can read) was in the boot and it was far too much effort to stop the car, take the keys out of the ignition to allow the boot to open and get out and get it! Thats what we needed a man to do!! ;)
