Does the engine timing sensor on a Micra serve the same function as the crank sensor on an Omega? If it does then Omega owners are extremely lucky price wise as an engine timing sensor for an 04 plate Micra comes in at £700 or so a Nissan mechanic mate of mine tells me :o

It would most likely be a new reference for a crank sensor yes.

They have cam and crank sensors but there is an additional oil fed timer that is very expensive.
