Fireworks
« on: 20 October 2015, 15:43:11 »

Its time to lock all your pets up again as the fireworks have started going off around here  >:(
Its not been as bad as usual funnily enough but still not nice for the pets that fret once they here them going off  :( Hopefully fireworks will become too expensive for personal use and keep them all at displays  :y

Bahhhh Humbug  >:( ;D

Not been too bad round here, they were going off all night one night last week but that's been it so far and it hasn`t been too bad in recent years, ten years ago it was like Beirut from September till Christmas.

They're a pain... Fortunately our pets are ok with them.

But I take your fireworks and raise this.... It was like living on the set of a war film!!!

I see your froggy rosbif love-in, and raise you this:

That was our daily and nightly routine for 6 months.  The engineer demolition range going boom boom boom nearly everyday near Chez Guffer is actually soothing.

I've never had a pet that was worried about Fireworks..... Same with Hot Air Balloons, Aircraft or anything else out of the 'ordinary'.  They are aware that they are safe.

I'm the grumpiest barsterward going, but I enjoy Fireworks.  Provided people don't break the law and are sensible, let them have their fun.

Nov 5th, I'll have both mine and SWMBO's families around, all the dogs will be here too.  They'll be far more interested in the BBQ than the Rockets.

Felt a bit like that... Choppers going over at around 50 feet... Thunder flashes, rounds, the lot. SWMBO actually looked on tinterweb to see if we were being invaded as we weren't advised it was happening.

It's a strange feeling but I find a slight comfort in the noise of "boom boom boom", helicopters (such as the Chinook) and distant gunfire.  However that IDF alarm still makes me want to hit the deck.  Annoyingly some of the factories on my cycle route to work in France use the same alarm.  Fighting the instinct to hit the deck when you are cycling at 20mph is interesting.
