Apart from the ham-fisted pillock May ballsing up the most simple of operations, and thinking it's amusing to hold up production by acting like a school girl. I'd have dragged the winker out of that cage by his hair and kicked him in the nuts.

Followed by crossing the threads in the captive nuts for the tailgate hinge on two successive bodies.

I wonder if they will run an 8mm tap through the nuts and put the bodies back on the line? or send them to be crushed?  :-\

I get the urge to spit on Freelanders when I see them as they were hateful things to put together, Evoques are made of tinfoil by the way...avoid at all cost's..especially the convertible version they are bringing out as they are really, really struggling to make it less wobbly and bendy enough to pass crash tests  :o

on a part that probably won't ever be removed in the vehicle's life.
You don't think they'll pretend it's a proper Mini and ignore it?

Just watched this..I bet when mr May waves goodbye to the workers they will be glad to see the back of him. ;D ;D
