Yep but de tuned compared to the BM Range, a £75 chip sorts that out, good work horse dispite being a bit aged compared to modern diesels, needs to be manual for good mpg though.

Used to get around 35mpg in town all day long with a load of tools and crap in the back and stuff on the roof, a lot more on a run and empty.

MK3 Mondeo TDDI if you can find one, these were the very early ones which carried the engine over from the MK2 I think. The TDCI are to be avoided due to expensive injector and DPF issues. I ran a TDDI hatchback for about 75k and it cost me the standard stuff plus a battery. However I did have a new clutch & DMF fitted (£680) when I bought it as I knew it was dying and paid accordingly(£1200).

MPG wise, I never saw less than 39 (90% town runs) or more than 49 (90% M'way). I'm sure 50's is possible if you drive like you've just died.

Something like this one maybe

Jesus! Makes me wonder what I did to my Turbo Weasel, which did about 22-25 round town! Mind, I did drive it like I was given a bar of chocolate every time the revs went above 5 thou  ::)
