Either 5w30 or 10w40. Genuine Gm oil is best value if you shop around... Can be had from dealers cheaply enough (£12 per can) if you ask nicely/have a Trade Card, or online from £60 for 20 litres.

Your car needs 5.5 litres.

Yes they have a fuel filter... Bit fiddly to change as it's above the back axle :y

Why would you pay £60.00 when you can get 4 cans for £48,00.

Depends on your dealer... My local one has decided that 5w30 is £168+ vat for twenty litres...

Suffice to say that £115 delivered for 40l is a much better deal... ;)

Point is, it your dealer wants to be an arse, shop around :y

Last week, my Trade price for Fully Synthetic 5W30 at Wycombe Vauxhall was £15.35 per 5 litres. It was discounted down, according to their paperwork from £40 per 5 litres. Shows the mark up if that figure is right. !! :y

I got 20 ltrs of 10w40 for £36.30 recently when I went in on the off chance and asked nicely.  :y  but another time I was dismissed with "We're out of stock mate"   :-\

So I think it depends on the parts guy's mood that day.  ::)  Whether his Mrs is being cooperative or not!  ;D

You can use either 10/40 semi-synthetic or 5/30 fully synthetic.
