2.5 leaking valverocker covers leaking like mad.
« on: 28 October 2015, 20:14:53 »

Hi,
I need some advice expiriences with the next problem.
Normally next weekend i'm gonna dive into this issue and replace the gaskets with originals. I also doing the timingbelt as i see the first cracks appearing.
Now week when i added a little oil and took of the filler cap i noticed the inside of the knob was white. So headgaskets gone to. What would you do? Just repair the rockerarm gaskets replace the timing belt and leave it for now knowing i only have two days and im alone. And do a complete overhaul of the head in about 6 months. Or also change the headgaskets but without pressurtest flatnesscheck and so coz no time as next week it needs its NOT.

Mayo on the cap can be normal depending on what oil you use, check the dipstick for mayo and or check the oil on the next oil change.

As above mayo on the back of the filler cap is quite normal, nothing to worry about.

Just replace cam cover gaskets  :y
