You can mate. But I'll be inspecting it myself anyway. I suspect a dodgy idler or tensioner as opposed to a duff belt.

You've misunderstood.... I want to fit a kit to my v6 to see if mine is causing a knock noise :y

I still reckon your problem is the belt, James. Keep your pulleys, just change the belt for an old known silent one. Belts don't fail, pulley bearings do.

How would a belt cause a knocking noise?
