Seen that before ;) they're not the only people making CNC ally FE blocks for Cobras now either.

There are pictures of their completely CNCd billet chassis car on their site too - rumour has it they made a skip full of swarf every day they were building it (for Oracle boss Larry Ellison who probably has more money than God)!

and that wasn't that long ago either. We used to swill gallons of the stuff about when cleaning up any oil spills in the workshop ..... maybe up to the mid 90s before they stopped us from using it.

Am I right in thinking, that now days, pictures are converted to code, then inputted onto the machine, or is it all, from design screen straight to cutter?

Ardox Airdom... Mixed 50/50 with hot water and it was a toss up between dying from the fumes or your skin dissolving :D

Would clean anything though... Paint/dirt/crayon/spaghetti sauce ;D

Your,e right BG. Now machines are programmed straight from the components drawing, unless. the draughtsman puts in any moves that the CNC mill or lathe cannot physically perform. :D
