Warning Light
« on: 19 November 2015, 17:52:57 »

Hi all,

I've just had a major triumph with replacing parts to make the heater work better (see http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=133208.msg1706876#msg1706876 )

I was delighted when the main warning light (the orange one with the symbol of the engine) went off after about 150 miles of successful driving and operation - Less delighted when it came back on again yesterday (about 300 miles after it went out) although everything still seems to be working fine and all levels etc are OK.

I was accelerating uphill  at the time but not what I would describe as "excessively". When I say accelerating I mean "gathering momentum" - it's 2.2 petrol!

Can anyone explain how the system works?? I'm intrigued and was surprised when the light went off as I expected to have to make a garage visit to have it reset. Does it reset itself after a specific period if no further alarms are received?? If that's the case will it reset itself again??
