Inflation 3.8%
« on: 15 July 2008, 20:27:32 »

Was watching the BBC news at 1pm today. Apparently food has gone up 14%, petrol has gone up 26% and electricity and gas 15%

Yet they tell us inflation is only 3.8%.

How is this possible.

Me thinks somebody is telling Porkies :(

When you consider the knock on effects that the cost of energy is going to have on our goods, expect that inflation rate to go up ALOT!  :( :( :( :(

Its simple, this bunch of lying coniving gits changed the way inflation is measured a few years ago so its calculated on essential tiems such as fuel and food but, also includes luxury goods like LCD TV's and satnav........the latter of which are dropping in price and bringing the average down!

The inflation shopping basket, is made up of appx. 650 items every month. But as stated earlier, many luxury items are included, such as LCD TV's, clothes, and MP3 players, all of which are deflating.

This is giving a false figure, because you don't buy a new TV, Satnav, MP3 palyer everyday like you do bread and milk.

It's a case of Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics :( :(
