Looks like a Skoda Superb to me, .....
That's what I thought
Just about every car looks like some other car these days.
I used to be able to recognise just about every car on the road when I was a boy but they all look much the same now.
They always have. There's only so many ways of packaging the mechanical bits and then wrapping them with the style of the day.
I'm not sure about that, nick.
An Austin 1100 looked way different to a Ford Anglia.....even if they were both crap.
Really? From the front: 7" round headlight in wings that dip down to the bonnet and a deep, wide grill between them; fairly flat body sides that run into low fins with upright taillights; steeply sloped boot. The only real difference is the rear roofline, which is something that Ford did for only 2 models.
Now compare a mk5 Cortina to a Mk2 Cavalier, mk1 Polo/Fiesta/Nova, mk1 Astra and mk3 Escort. Mk1 Escort/Avenger/Marina, or a Hillman Minx(Arrow type) to a mk2 Cortina - they could be twins. Superminx to a mk1 Cortina. Peugeot 404 to Austin Westminster. Any 30's car if you can't see the radiator grille.
