MFL Estate body trim
« on: 10 December 2015, 17:43:39 »

The narrow rubber and metal strip running along the body under the bottom of the door has popped off 2 rivets on the rear NS of the Estate, such that it is only held in place when the door is closed. Has anyone had success in re-fitting these? The only way I have thought of so far is to drill the old rivets out, cut a thin slot in the rubber, and fit new rivets. The drawback to this being water ingress inside the trim section. :-\

Stick it back on with Sikaflex, and use the door on the other side a bit more often.

Wow, thanks, I never even thought of glue, and funnily enough, I don't access the car by either rear door, I find the driver's door the easier entrance, each to his own however.  :P
