What do I do with one exhaust fannymould?
« on: 14 December 2015, 16:52:21 »

just that - guy with some ex-dealer stock (same bloke who has furnished me with the longer caliper pins which will be winging their way to a fellow OOFer soon  :) ) has offered me a 2.6/ 3.2  manifold gasket... just the one, though.  :(

Basically it could be up for grabs for pretty cheap, given they're meant to be bleedin expensive brand new from Vx... but that's for a pair, of course. Of course no use to anyone who fancies the later manifold mod on their 2.5/3.0... but maybe to someone who has a slightly weeping manifold?  :-\

I'm sure the gaskets are only 5 or 6 quid from dealer  :-\

Ah a manifold gasket.... That wouldn't work as a doorstop.  :(

It would if you folded it in half a couple of times.

Or the gap to the floor was really small.

I thought I read that the 2.5/ 3.0 ones are cheap as chips, but the 2.6/3.2 ones are ten times the price?  :-\ May have been thinking of something else? Head gaskets maybe?

I'm sure that when I did my HG's last year the genuine metal exhaust manifold gaskets were about £20 each from the stealer, which is why I used the cardboard ones in the gasket kit instead!  ::)
