Codes 133 and 31 on 2.5 V6
« on: 16 December 2015, 20:25:21 »

Evening guys, hope you're all well :)

Got the check engine light come on about 20 miles from home today  ::) I had a paperclip and the internet so I managed to get the codes  :y

31 - EGR voltage low
133 - intake valve 2 voltage low

Luckily I think I have the answer.

I replaced my aux belt tensioner at the weekend. Being a ham-fisted oaf I broke the part that covers the wiring loom at the side that slides out...

Assuming ''intake valve 2'' is the front multiram valve and the wiring for the EGR meets in this loom I'm going to say that by not being able to put this piece of plastic cover back I've left the wires exposed to heat and these two have melted/broken??? Therefore, remove the loom tray, track the wiring, solder if necessary, get a new cover!

Unless theres something you think ive missed that's obvious? :)

Note to self. Make sure multi RAM plugged in before removing wiring loom and inspecting it all  ::)
Check engine light now out  :y

Just a quick question though. The front ram. Is this the one that opens after 5k rpm blip? Blipped throttle a few times but didn't move. Car seems just as powerful  :y
