They are your rare as hens teeth, or more commonly known as diff mounts.

How many would be sold? I doubt it would be enough to justify the setup costs.

Al's experiments reusing the metal parts and casting urethane around them seems like a much more viable procedure to me. A couple of simple jigs could create a very low production line.

What's the symptom of these rubbers perishing (easy stemo)? Presumably a knocking?

That's the basis of my idea, I used greaseproof paper, card and wax to mould my original set, but am looking to make summat a bit more durable to allow for repeatable results using different compounds to suit individual taste... mine are literally solid... which secure the back end a treat, but might be a bit harsh for some ::)

Some aluminium plate with screwed-on stations to position everything correctly should do the job, and cost next to nothing. Copious use of silicone release spray would make removal of the completed parts easy.

Tricky part would be accurately positioning the two support plates... There is also limited scope for repositioning the centre block to compensate axle position variations from lowering :-\

I was thinking along these lines(hopefully the picture will work!):

This model is not to scale as I have no suitable dimensions.

The Base Plate and Inner Clamp are 6mm aluminium. The Post is sized to fit the hole in the Mount inner. The bolt goes through the Inner clamp and Post and screws to the Base Plate. The Outer Clamp is bolted to the Base Plate and holds the U-shaped outer casing in place. The Inner clamp merely touches the Outer Clamp and locates everything.

Dimensions are probably best taken from an undamaged diff mount.

The back end feeling like it's about to fall off as you either chuck the car into a tight corner or as you power out... Tight roundabouts are a good test for this...
