Halfrauds per chance, or is it one of those round Michelin ones, got loads of them, they tend to pack up just after 12 months, have to keep buying another brand new one, so I can take the faulty one back in a brand new box and get another new replacement.  :-X ::)

At least the one I got was genuine cheap Chinese tat, rather than egay's fake Chinese tat.

But it's definitely fair to say after this and other recent episodes, I won't be using Machine Mart again - I didn't mind paying a small premium for the service they used to give, but recently I've had to jump through so many hoops to get simple warranty claims looked at.

Apart from the receipt requirements they used to demand, I've *NEVER* had any hassles with Halfords warranties.

Both of my inflators are a bit intermittent - corrosion (very slight) inside the cig lighter plug part seems to cause the fault.. it gets red hot which doesn't help the situation I suspect.

Usually if I dismantle that, clean the ends of the fuse (which lives inside the plug) and the contact point and put it all back together they work again for a while.

(One is Halfords own from 15 years ago the other is a round Michelin one from a few years ago)

I've got the two GM ones that came with the bottle of glue, one with Astra, one with Orlando. They are quite sturdy, but I use asdas when I'm there anyway.

I've got all that in mine; I gave the Honda set(the compressor is the same) to my sister.

Threw the glue away and bought a space saver, of course.

Threw the 15" space saver away and put a fullsize 17" spare in the well. Then put the other stuff in the wheel. The compressors are way better than any of the under £50 ones I've tried: they fully inflate a tyre in a couple of minutes, and do it quietly. And they were free.
