tired spring in that wiper arm or worn joints in the linkage.

Also, try nipping up the nut that holds the arm to the spindle

You replace the whole arm with a new one. Actually, you replace both because one old and one new looks crap.

Twist the arm a bit. It should flip over as it changes direction. Watch the good one and you will see what I mean. Twist the duff one so that it does likewise.

Great for removing water. Poor for removing dead flies etc.

Not impressed with bosch aero so far although not used much... fitted brand new ones for the MOT .. when used with the washers they work fine on the "upstroke" but leave a huge "smear" of water right in the middle of my vision  on the "downstroke" ... no comment from the tester mind ... perhaps they need some "adjustment" once I get the car back ... :(

I had Bosch aero on another car and hated them - they made an awful noise each time they changed direction (or maybe it was the Omega, I don't recall now); I've now had Champion branded ones on several cars with no such problems - great wipers, if you can find them.

The Goodyear were every bit as god as the Bosch, and a 3rd the price. Still shit at flies though.

On the Omega, I keep snapping the passenger side at speed, rather annoyingly. Hence I tend to use Bosch from Halfords, who will just swap it when it snaps.

I've never had any problem using genuine GM ones in the past. I've also used Champion, who used to make the GM blades (they were identical; one had GM stamped on them whereas the Champion had Champion - obviously...!!) - whether they still make them for GM today, I'm not sure. The GM blades and Champion were cheap to buy and performed well, with no juddering, smearing or noise. I've always found the Bosch blades had quite a bulky mounting clip, and were more expensive, but didn't perform particularly well.
