Hi there,

For a long period of time my omega is losing coolant, temperatures arise above the usual...
Today I found white grease on the oil cap and funnel!
So this is all the usefull information I've gather.
Hope you guys can give me a clue.

Losing Water = Yes 0,5 litter to 1 litter  every months or so.
Milky oil on dipstick = No
Oil specs = 10W40 GM
Loss of oil = Yes 0,75 litter per 7000Km
Head cover seals changed  = Yes 1000 Km
Air breathers cleaned  = Don’t know
Oil on water = No
Temperatures higher then usual = Yes 95ºC and above to 97,5ºC or 98ºC can't be sure. About 94ºC if running on the highway depending on the run speed.
Loss of Power = Not so much I guess!
Oil cap with white milky grease = Yes
Bad start by the morning = No so much usually the starter will spin for 1,5 to 2 seconds
Misfire = No, can take some time to start but will start with all cylinders running
Spark Plugs = About 8000Km
Engine Noise = Yes I can ear a sound like a bad bearing I've toke the car to the mechanic and he said that it is much possible to be transmission bearing
Paper Clip test = Perfect no signs of any failure besides the 12

Thank you.

You have a coolant leak... check usual suspects:
HBV, oil cooler plate, waterpump, radiator drain plug, radiator, heater matrix, expansion tank cap faulty, expansion tank cracked around cap.

Oil cap mayo expected if weather is colder, you do mostly short journeys, you use shit oil, (Castrol is particularly prone to this).

Oil loss normal... it will probably use some and leak some... crank seals and sump pan being the obvious places.

HBV -> Genuine new changed about 5000Km
Oil cooler plate -> That would be notorious as water and oil would mix right?
Water Pump -> New Changed about 8000Km
Radiator drain plug -> Never thought about it, it can be...
Radiator -> Fairly new Three years or so...
Heater matrix -> No water inside the car
Expansion tank cap faulty -> New
Expansion tank -> Mint condition
Weather is indeed very cold and I mostly do short runs of 15 Km or so
Oil is genuine GM no shit oils around ;)

They form the seal at the bulkhead connection... Whether they could leak without being disturbed I couldn't say, but there are more likely suspects in my original list ;)

No.  The oil cooler plate seals the chamber which the oil cooler sits in and it can leak. This type of leak dosn't contaminate the oil.  The coolant will run down the back of the engine, but you might not spot it as it may evaporate off before dripping to the ground. Removing the inlet is the only way to see for sure.  ::)  What's your mileage?  This is quite common on high milers.

Radiator drain plug -> Never thought about it, it can be...

Might be, especially if it's been disturbed.  ;)

Normal and is condensation in the oil filler neck.  If it bothers you, you can remove the filler neck and put the cap directly on the cam cover instead.  ;)
